Therapy for Mind and Body

Complex Health Concerns
I work with people with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions, and am always interested in helping those who are suffering with the kinds of complex health concerns for which other forms of medicine may not have an adequate explanation, or for which other types of treatment may have undesirable side effects:

Questions of meaning, purpose, identity–cultural, spiritual, sexual, and other forms–and of how to derive a sense of nourishment from relationships, work, and various pursuits are always of interest.

Inflammatory, autoimmune, and degenerative conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, allergies, irritable bowel (IBS), Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (IBD), and many others.

Depression, anxiety, feelings of meaninglessness and purposelessness, alienation and isolation, panic attacks, mood swings, loss of motivation or pleasure, and other mood-related concerns, including seasonal / regional mood fluctuation.

Chronic pain, recurrent pain, and acute painful flare-ups such as migraines and tension headaches, fibromyalgia, muscle and nerve pain (neuropathy), and many others.

Trauma and intergenerational trauma, including feelings of disconnection, avoidance, impulsivity, hyperarousal / hypervigilance related to PTSD, complex trauma, relational / attachment trauma, and historical trauma.

Metabolic, endocrine, and digestive concerns, such as excessive or insufficient appetite, obesity and weight loss, hypoglycemia, diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), and others.

Relationship, intimacy, and interpersonal difficulties, including conflicts, difficulty initiating or sustaining relationships, and other concerns.

Stress, feeling ill-at-ease or out of sorts, immune system support, and general wellness.

Insomnia, fatigue, low energy, and other concerns involving a combination of behavioral, stress-related, and psychological elements.

Women’s and men’s health concerns, including issues related to fertility, painful or irregular menstruation, painful or frequent urination, sexual/erectile dysfunction, menopause-related discomfort, and others.

Many other mind-body conditions and complex health concerns involving an interaction of psychological and physical symptoms.
