Integrative Therapy for Mind and Body
As a licensed clinical psychologist based in Anchorage, Alaska, I offer psychotherapy for people with a wide variety of emotional, mental health, interpersonal, stress-related, and mind-body health concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addiction / alcoholism recovery, and chronic pain.

I am also a licensed acupuncturist, and my practice emphasizes the integration of classical Chinese medicine with depth psychotherapy–including acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as well as mindfulness / meditation and medical qigong / energy medicine practices.

Psyche and body are intimately entwined, and in my experience the process of healing the psyche greatly benefits from attention to both.  In conjunction with counseling, somatic methods from traditional healing practices, alternative medicine, health psychology, and other natural and holistic health approaches can deepen and quicken the healing process.

With years of training and practice in depth psychotherapy, clinical health psychology, traditional Asian medicine, and spiritual, contemplative, and somatic disciplines, I am able to provide a unique perspective in working with each person on their individual path of healing–on moving through uncertainty, stuckness, and shame.

Ultimately, the goal of all healing is to help us to live in deepening connection with our hearts, souls, and bodies—which is the truest form of medicine.

I offer

Psychotherapy, incorporating Jungian / archetypal, existential, and somatic psychotherapy, contemplative and transpersonal psychology, energy psychology, and influences from Buddhism, Daoism (Taoism), non-dual wisdom, and other cultural philosophies and spiritual traditions.

Acupuncture & classical Chinese medicine, including classical and contemporary acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, medical qigong, and other traditional methods and modalities.

Contemplative counseling, incorporating meditation and other mindfulness practices, medical qigong, and other methods from the contemplative, intuitive, and energetic lineages within depth psychology and classical Chinese medicine.

I would be happy to answer your questions, to explore your specific concerns, and to discuss ways in which my approach might be helpful for you; to schedule an appointment, or for further information, please feel free to call.
